It is the red inner bark beneath the outer glistening bark of the Terminalia Arjuna tree. This tree is found growing in West Bengal, South and Central India. It’s been used in the traditional Indian medicine system for many centuries.
Research on this herb has been conducted for supporting cardiovascular health and blood sugar metabolism. Several antioxidants including Gallic acid, Ellagic acid and Oligomeric proanthocyanidins have been identified in Arjuna bark.
